About Killer-Works
Killer-works.com is a unique online recommendation site for the best dark and disturbing books, films, television, art, artifacts, events, both new and old.
The eternal quest for quality horrifying, disturbing and dark entertainment has not always been easy! Whether it is books, movies or art, searching solely under the ubiquitous label of "horror" unfortunately does not always reveal the cream of the crop. It has also been the experience of those of us who revel in well crafted gore and disturbing content that we often stumble upon many gems in other walks of life under "general fiction" or "biography" or "action thriller", in the back room of a downtown art gallery, friend's bookshelves, even in unlikely design shops. Killer-works.com is here to help make that search infinitely easier. We will be providing weekly articles on our website and emailed directly to subscribers to point you in the right twisted, blood encrusted direction!
We're based in Canada (Toronto), and our intention is for our scope to be international. We always welcome recommendations, comments, suggestions and questions. Just drop us a line at comments@killer-works.com And don't miss out, click on "Join Us" to get our warped articles as they happen in your inbox.
One twisted mind behind Killer-works.com:

Jill Cooper, Publisher and Founder
Jill has been an avid reader of all things disturbing from the tender age of three in Newfoundland, Canada when she was exposed to Dr. Seuss. Obviously a "gateway" author to more serious books, Jill developed a prepubescent obsession with Agatha Christie and Stephen King. Soon came the late night cramming of Anne Rice and Dean Koontz and surreptitious viewings of "Hellraiser" while in university, and after moving to Toronto scaring her friends with true crime titles like Women who Kill. With the accumulation of a B.Sc. in Computers (that she never uses), and Bachelors and Masters degrees in Architecture, Jill currently makes extra money to pay for her alarming book habit by being a set/production designer for television.
