Killer-Extras: Flash Fiction
Memoirs of a Dragon
To Her Lover, Saint George:
The Ways in Which I’d Kill You
By C.S.E.Cooney
First. Stretch you in an empty picture frame. A Leonardo sketch in the flesh.
Second. Pierce the palm bones: pisiform, triquetrum, scaphoid
and lunate. Speared and splintered by slender nails driven
indelibly in with a small silver hammer.
Then – your perfect feet. Your goddamned, elegant, arched,
sensitive, tactless, furtive feet. Flayed. With a straight
razor. Basted in quicklime, lemon juice and sea salt, scrubbed
with boar bristles and a steel sponge, set upon by fire ants,
poured over with honey, coated in sugar crystals and fed to
rats, the rats, the napalm rats. I’ll watch them wither under
chemical fire.
This is how I’d kill you.
Moving on.
Your legs I will shave with something rusty and paint in slow acid. Extremities do not concern me.
